MOHAA Crash In Windows 7

This is for all you MOHAA fans out there. I must admit, in my limited spare time I still play MOHAA online occasionally, and still enjoy doing so even after about 8 years since it appeared. But that's not the problem I am going to talk about here. The issue (and resolution) I am describing here is related to Windows 7 (I am using the 32-bit edition, but the problem might be there n 64-bit releases as well) and the fact that MOHAA seems to crash under this operating system when using the latest set of drivers available at this date for the GeForce 9300M GS graphics card in my laptop. Although I'm running it fine on my desktop system under Vista 32-bit, the game crashes right when it starts showing an error message without any additional details.
The first thing I did was check the driver version. I am using DirectX 11.0 and the driver version 186.81. The original driver that comes with my graphics card is version 7.15.11.7662, and before installing Windows 7 I had ran MOHAA fine on Vista 32-bit using this driver (as well as the new driver 186.81).
In the nVidia driver version 186.81 the error was caused by the nvoglv32.dll file in the C:\Windows\System32 folder. After renaming this ~10MB file and running MOHAA, the game ran smooth. Of course, it's not the safest way to approach things, but when it comes to just playing a game it might be reasonable to do so, then rename it back to its original name. The game did not suffer any performance losses of any kind, although the DLL mentioned earlier is an OpenGL-related driver and as far as I know MOHAA uses OpenGL for rendering. Just as a side-note, downgrading the graphics driver to the original ForceWare driver version 176.62 that comes with the graphics card allows playing the game without any problems also. And, ironically, I get a 3.5 Windows Experience Index score for the graphics card in Windows 7 for the original version of driver (176.62) and a 3.4 score for the latest release (ForceWare 186.81).
